Elder Koelliker said there are 8,000 people in the Sudan waiting for and wanting baptism. We do not have the priesthood leadership to baptize them right now. He said there are about 2,500 in Burundi that have organized themselves, hold meetings, and have a sign out in front of where they meet that says, "Visitor's Welcome." They are ready for baptism as well, but again there is not the infrastructure to make it happen yet. He said there are 1,000 in Angola ready to be baptized. Africa could explode if we had enough leadership to handle it all. He told the missionaries to find Priesthood so that we can expand the Church in an organized way.
Wow, that's just amazing. I'm going to start praying for Priesthood leadership.
ReplyDeleteThat is amazing! How incredible!!! I can't help but think what a wonderful experience this is for you and Pres to have together. We are going to St. George this weekend and I wish I could see you both! But we will catch you next time. :)
